Hap Pretnar

Hap moved to Montgomery Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in October of 2007 and spends time with his wife MaryAnn who already resided here. Hap and MaryAnn were married in 1940. Mr. Pretnar is very proud of his three children, Allan who lives in Taylor Springs, Daughters Linda who lives in Springfield, and Mary Ann who lives in Texas.

Hap was a farmer, coalminer and then owned and operated Haps Tavern in Nokomis. He is an Army Veteran who likes to go fishing and says he makes a great cheeseburger. One of these days soon Hap is going to show us how to make his great cheeseburger in the activity room! Congratulations Hap on being chosen as MNRC Resident of the Month!

Mary Robbins

Betty Robbins has been chosen as Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s Resident of the Month for May 2008. Betty moved here in August of 2007 from Florida. She decided she wanted to live closer to her daughter, Sue Fuller and her hometown, which is Hillsboro. She was married to Jim Robbins for 56 years, until he passed away, and they have two children, Sue of Hillsboro, and Larry of Florida. Betty then married Robert Rathgeber. Betty enjoys playing bingo and having refreshments in the morning with the folks. She also likes to come to the “Time With Jesus” Bible Study group once a week, and Church. Congratulations Betty on being chosen as MNRC Resident of the Month!

June 2008

Anita Gibson

Anita Gibson has been chosen as June Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center’s Resident of the Month. Anita has lived at MNRC since 2004 and when asked what she likes the most about life at MNRC she responded, “the great care that I receive here.”

Anita enjoys visits from her children, Jan and husband Harry and her son Richard and his wife Jody. She also enjoys participating in Physical Therapy, watching T.V., manicures in activities, and the good food at MNRC.

We at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation Center are not surprised Anita was named Resident of the Month. Anita is a delight to care for. She always has a smile for you and a kind word. Congratulations Anita Gibson - you are a blessing to us all.
