Environmental Services Supervisor
Hello, my name is Doris Renfro and I am the Environmental
Services Manager at Montgomery Nursing and Rehabilitation.
I have been here 30 years
now and I love it. Environmental Services is made up of the Laundry and Housekeeping
departments.
Housekeeping is responsible for keeping the facility clean and
odor free.
We have five full-time and one part-time housekeeping staff. Each
has a designated area of responsibility to maintain. This includes cleaning each
residents room, bathroom, and regular bed washing.
Our laundry department runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
There are three full-time and three part-time staff. The laundry is
responsible for the gathering, sorting, soaking, and washing of all clothing, and linens.
Staff personally fold and deliver all of these articles to where they belong.
It is an ongoing job to ensure that the residents have a "Home Like" environment to live in and enjoy. And it takes a big team of people to make it happen. Environmental Services is happy to be a part of this wonderful team.
